Customer Service: About ATA

ATA is a voluntary assessment programme for Customer Service Advisors working in the retail motor industry. It has the backing of major vehicle manufacturers.

ATA is based upon Current Industry Standards to ensure that it meets the skills requirements of the retail motor industry.

A robust system

To achieve accreditation, Customer Service Advisors must pass a series of practical assessments and an on-line knowledge test at an ATA Approved Assessment Centre.

To ensure that they keep up-to-date with new technologies, Customer Service Advisors are re-assessed every 5 years to maintain their accreditation.

ATA registered Customer Service Advisors are bound by a special Code of Conduct and they are issued with a photo identity card.

For Customer Service Advisors there are two competency levels:

• Customer Service Advisor
