Mark Pearce and Matthew Pearce who are both employed at Marshall’s Peugeot in Newbury have become the first brothers to achieve accreditation in the ATA scheme.
Mark and Matthew, who both achieved Diagnostic Technician level in the scheme, have added to the number of accredited technicians, which is fast approaching the 5,000 milestone.
Zoe Martin, Dealer Principal at Marshall’s Peugeot, commented:
“We are happy to be involved in this new nation-wide initiative which will show our customers the importance of having skilled professionals. Vehicles are becoming increasingly sophisticated and complex so it’s vital that there is a recognised benchmark of technical competence. We are very proud of Mark and Matthew’s achievements.”
Mark Pearce, Master Technician at Marshall’s added:
“To be officially recognised by the ATA for my skills as a technician is a credit personally and also to the Peugeot training courses I have undertaken over the past 10 years. I think this accreditation will raise standards even further within the motor industry”.
Automotive Technician Accreditation is supported by all major vehicle manufacturers and service and repair organisations, as well as the Department of Trade and Industry, Trading Standards and consumer groups.
