ATA Survey

An independent survey of ATA was conducted in Summer 2008 to gague the opinions of registered technicians and employers. The purpose of the research was to evaluate any financial benefits of accreditation to the ATA and to establish any benefits other than financial to the business, both for the individual and at an organisational level.

Overall, employers think that ATA has had a number of benefits for their businesses.  Two thirds (65%) say it has improved their business image, nearly six in ten (57%) think it has increased customer satisfaction and half believe that they have seen an increase in the efficiency of their business. What’s more, 45% said that staff are more likely to stay because of ATA.

Encouragingly 44% of employers questioned believed that ATA has meant that their business has become more profitable as a result.

Overall, technicians themselves feel that ATA accreditation has had a positive impact on their life and career. 74% feel that their skills are of greater value to their employers, now that they have achieved ATA accreditation.
